There’s something irresistibly charming and nostalgic about peach. It’s been one of my staple choices for outdoor living styling this season, regularly showing up in my textile, tableware and floral choices. Dubbing this colour trend Peach Perfect, it feels like its a very current mood: a craving for warmth, softness and simplicity, all grounded in nature.

Here’s how it's shaping my shoots, and why it’s hitting the right notes in 2025:

1. A Nod to Nostalgia - In a world that still feels a little unsteady, nostalgia has become a comfort blanket. From retro packaging and vintage interiors to 90s fashion comebacks, we’re actively seeking reminders of simpler times. Peach carries that same emotional warmth. It reminds us of traditional British summertime, garden picnics, and childhood desserts. It’s sentimental without being saccharine, which makes it ideal for styling storytelling.

2. Peachy Petals - To bring Peach Perfect to life in my photoshoots, I choose soft, romantic florals like ranunculus and roses - and later in the season dahilas - together with a little ruscus. These flowers work beautifully as centrepieces, or tucked into linen napkins for an extra special touch. The key is keeping the palette simple—blush, apricot, and soft coral, for something that feels cohesive and considered.

3. Green for Grounding - To avoid the overall look turning too sickly sweet or pink, I use nature-inspired greens to complement—think olive and foliage tones - for napkins and glassware. These foliage-inspired tones ground the space in nature, adding a little freshness to balance out the warmth.

4. Soft Sunlight - There’s no better way to celebrate a peach-hued setting than during that dreamy golden hour. I lean into that rosy late-summer glow with rose gold cutlery, sparkling glassware, and of course, a carafe of rosé wine. These touches echo the light and warmth of entertaining at sunset, enhancing the peach palette without overpowering it. Layering the different tones for an effect that's subtle, sun-kissed and welcoming.

5. Spirit of Summer- Peach is a true summer staple, capturing the (sometimes) fleeting magic of a British summer. It brings a welcome familiarity of days gone by, but it still feels fresh. Whether used in outdoor dining set-ups, relaxed lounge areas, or styled picnics, Peach Perfect evokes that sense of ease and laid-back moments that define the season.
